The Deal

The relaxing & classic Mac's Lounge at Powerscourt Arms Country House offers homemade quality dishes in a cosy and friendly environment. An extensive bar food menu is also served from 5-9pm and all day Saturdays & Sundays with sumptuous home-cooked specials and desserts. Mac's lounge is a very child-friendly environment and families are always welcome as children's menu are available. Live music is in the lounge every Saturday night with entertainment by local musicians from traditional to contemporary.

Oh My Goodness - this is a fantastic place. I'm not sure how to describe it - food is excellent and very good value, owner is is so good to you, candles on the table, live music. Oooh I've stepped back in time before the celtic tiger and no one cared. This place has a real family feel to it and you just feel like you can stay all night. I had the best night here in a long time

Went here for Sunday lunch. Nice place, very comfortable with lovely decor. I had duck spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce (which was a special that day), and a caesar salad. My boyfriend had the beef burger with chips. The duck spring rolls were really lovely, cooked very well, the plate could have done with more hoi sin sauce though as there was only a drizzle. The caesar salad was excellent, plenty of bacon, lovely dressing and nice fresh lettuce. Just the right size as well (I had a starter portion) Tried my boyfriends burger and chips and it was delicious, he wolfed it down. Would definitely eat here again, a really nice place for Sunday lunch.

Great food, good service. I was there about two months ago with some friends. It was very good restaurant I thought. Fully recommended.
