The Deal

Okra opened its doors in 2009 and redefined what fine dining was all about. Today, Okra means different things to different people - a restaurant with just the right ambiance, a place to be seen at or, more importantly, the best place for a Pakistani cuisine.

Over the years, they have experimented with ingredients and recipes and perfected the art of cooking and serving. Even as they add a few new dishes to the small, select menu their patrons often return for their favourites.  They continue to set themselves higher standards, both in the quality of food they prepare and the way they serve it.

The Pakistani Cuisine is as diverse as its culture, languages, regions and its climate. Every major region of Pakistan brings its own unique dishes and subtle variations to popular dishes. Aromatic spices are the essence of Pakistani cuisine.

The Restaurant itself is quaint, simple yet a stylish setting.  Intimate space and sublime food combine to give diners an unforgettable experience. Once you have settled yourself in its cosy and casual surroundings, you will find yourself in no hurry to leave. Sit and relax and nibble on pappodadams and ethnic dips.

Great food served at a perfect pace. Good reasonable wine list. Thoroughly enjoyable

Went for my birthday and we used the online voucher. The food and service were fantastic, plenty on the plate and nicely presented. I liked the mix of 'Western' music mixed in with Pakistani tunes playing in the background. Service was great. Would go again.

This is a great local restaurant. I have been here 2 or 3 times as I live in the area and the food is gorgeous. It has never disappointed. Service has always been very friendly also. The only thing that lets it down really is that there are rarely a lot of people here (often happens with somewhere local) which means atmosphere…

Went with the family for the 2 course €9.95 lunch special which is valid monday to sunday from 12:00-15:00. I have to say the food and service was absolutely fantastic. Their chicken curry was fantastic. They also do an evening two course deal for €19.95. Great location in the heart of Castleknock and plenty of nearby parking.…

Had a superb meal for two. Could not fault anything, the staff were superb without being overly attentive and the ambience is lovely. We had a 3 course meal starting with Tandoori Jhinga prawns- delicious, I had Murgh Nayal chicken, which was superb and my husband had the Chili Masala Ghoasht, and declared it very good indeed.…
